Biography – Christoforos Christodoulou Christoforos Christodoulou was born in Ioannina, Greece, and spent his early childhood in Mesolongi. Since the age of four, he has lived in Agios Ioannis Rentis, where he still resides today with his family. He is married and a father of two. His passion for martial arts began in his youth and evolved into a lifelong journey — a calling that shaped his life’s mission and purpose.
In 1995, he founded Atrapos Martial Arts, a place that was never meant to be just another martial arts school. It became a path — a space dedicated to personal transformation, discipline, confidence, respect, and inner strength. Since then, Atrapos has trained thousands of students, produced over 200 black belts, and cultivated numerous champions at the national, European, and world levels. Several of his students even entered university without national exams, thanks to their athletic achievements under his guidance.
Christoforos is much more than an instructor — he is a founder, organizer, educator, and visionary. As the President of the Tang Soo Do Division of the Panhellenic Kickboxing Federation (POK) and the official representative of Haedong Kumdo in Greece — as well as Vice President of the European Haedong Kumdo Federation — he has played a pivotal role in expanding these arts throughout the country. Since 2023, he has also been the President of FCS-Kali Official Greece, introducing one of the most realistic and effective self-defense systems in the world.
His organizational work is extensive. Christoforos has hosted numerous national and international Tang Soo Do and Haedong Kumdo championships, training camps, and educational programs, as well as leadership initiatives such as Believe In Yourself, Master Your Mind, and Tang Soo Do Masters Class. In 2025, he was appointed as the Head of the martial arts organization at the CSIT World Sports Games, one of the most important global sporting events, held in Loutraki, Greece, with thousands of participants from around the world.
Beyond the dojo, his mission extends into society. As a lecturer and instructor in schools, foundations, and community initiatives, he has led anti-bullying programs and self-defense training for children, teenagers, and women. He has been a key speaker at the Chatzikyriakeio Foundation and, through the Kids Radio Festival, teaches thousands of children every year how to stay safe and protect themselves. He is also the author of the eBook “The Journey to the Black Belt”, a guide for parents and students on martial arts' philosophy and transformative power.
Christoforos’ martial arts expertise spans traditional and modern disciplines — from Tang Soo Do and Haedong Kumdo to Kickboxing, Taekwondo, and FCS-Kali. He holds advanced ranks (7th Dan Tang Soo Do, 4th Dan Haedong Kumdo, 3rd Dan Taekwondo, 4th Dan Kickboxing, and Guro title in FCS-Kali) and is also trained in therapeutic practices such as Shiatsu, acupuncture, reflexology, and Esoteric Healing — a discipline he continues to explore and develop today.
At the heart of all his work lies one purpose: to help people transcend their limits, discover their highest potential, and stand strong — not only on the mat but in life itself. Atrapos, as its name suggests, is “the path” — and through his experience, knowledge, and passion, Christoforos Christodoulou continues to guide those who choose to walk it.
